So this is my first try at "speed painting"
ive tried before...
but you see, im a perfectionist.
I love the style but im to anal to do it myself
so im trying to break the habit
its two plane thingys flying out into a canyon at night. i treid to do citylights as they look when you fly in a plane but... D:

It looks like you used just a round brush for this, something that difficult to do, even for the experts for a speed paint. It's all about laying down values and shapes with custom brushes for each element in the painting. One for rock;one for trees;water;clouds;metal objects or whatever and then going in with a low opacity round brush to add shapes and highlight objects. That's at least a pretty common method. Maybe you know about custom brushes already so sorry if I'm telling ya something you already know but if you have an questions man just ask.
